Labor Day... By far one of the most BBQ-ed holiday, second to maybe 4th of July. This is about the time when Grill sets get washed down, cleaned, covered and stored away for the fall and winter months, to be revived again in late spring.
Well not me, I have the privilege of living in sunny California, and for me grilling is year round. I have on occasion Grilled in the rain and even snow.
The best meats to cook during the fall and winter season are heartier, gamier meats, such as venison, lamb or turkey.
As the weather gets cooler, the grill will take longer to reach temperature and will loose it's heat faster, so don't open it too often.
Here is my favorite way to prepare grilled lamb chops.
12 to 16 pieces of lamb chops marinate it with olive oil, salt, pepper, dried mint. Let it sit for couple of hours and put it on hot grill. 5 minutes on each side and medium is the way I like it.
Enjoy and don't let a little rain dampen your grilling.

As I was grilling in my backyard on Sunday, the kids were swimming in the pool, the wife was lounging on the porch, and the meat was sizzling on the grill, and I had a cold beer in my hand, I came to the realization, that winter was no longer my favorite season.
Don't get me wrong, I have had amazing BBQ experiences in Big Bear, with the snow coming down, with a grill made from rocks and dirt, and chunks of meat on skewers grilling in below frizzing weather. But this time I have a cup of vodka to keep me warm.
I guess the whole fun of doing BBQ twice a week in the summer, outweighs the once a month BBQ in the snow.
So for now Summer is winning, but come winter, you never know.

As this is the first post in my new blog, I would like to welcome everyone who want to know some tricks, tips and how tos about grilling and bbqing.
For as long as I can remember, I have been BBQing. My first memories consist of a backyard wood burning fire pits, and skewers of marinated beef, pork, and chicken waiting their turn on the open fire.
As I got older, I realized that BBQing is not just for food consumption, but it usually involved family gathering, and great parties, and conversation. I even sold my first townhouse because the balcony i had was to small for a grill.
Now my son and daughter at ages 3 and 6 are getting into the whole culture of BBQing, and I will share their stories as we progress.
So hope you find this blog useful, informative and fun.
Enjoy.
