As I was grilling in my backyard on Sunday, the kids were swimming in the pool, the wife was lounging on the porch, and the meat was sizzling on the grill, and I had a cold beer in my hand, I came to the realization, that winter was no longer my favorite season.
Don't get me wrong, I have had amazing BBQ experiences in Big Bear, with the snow coming down, with a grill made from rocks and dirt, and chunks of meat on skewers grilling in below frizzing weather. But this time I have a cup of vodka to keep me warm.
I guess the whole fun of doing BBQ twice a week in the summer, outweighs the once a month BBQ in the snow.
So for now Summer is winning, but come winter, you never know.
